Right Hand Drive JAPAN is one of the few importers/dealers offering pre-owned right-hand drive Japanese passenger and sports cars for sale in the U.S., and one of only 2 to offer vehicles that can be legalized for street use in all 50 states (yes, even in California); as well as importing OEM manufacturer replacement and aftermarket sports/racing parts from Japan.
Using our extensive network of connections to the automotive industry, our main office in Japan finds high-quality, pre-owned Japanese passenger and sports cars that have long been sought after and hard to find in the U.S., and imports them to the States to begin the process of legalization.
Once the cars are in the United States, we work with several testing facilities and automotive technology companies to perform the necessary modifications to meet Department of Transportation (DOT), National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and California Air Resources Board (CARB) testing standards so that all of our vehicles can be registered for safe and legal operation on public roads and highways in the States.
Each vehicle model must be extensively tested and inspected through a variety of stringent crash, equipment function, and emissions standards tests regulated by the various aforementioned government agencies before we can petition the government to prove that we can adequately modify the vehicles to comply with regulations. After doing that, the government issues a license stating that we are able to import and convert that specific model for use on public highways as a street legal vehicle.
Through this process we are able to provide a wide array of available right-hand drive vehicles to choose from; ideal for anyone from Rural Mail Carriers and Independent Delivery Personnel, to Japanese sports-car enthusiasts that have, until now, never been available in America.
In addition to providing street-legal right-hand drive sports cars, we are dedicated to providing the most extensive inventory possible of used and new OEM and aftermarket replacement parts for all the vehicles we offer, as well as all other popular sports car models.
